Heritage event: Reawakening the Congressional Review Act

On Wednesday Pacific Legal Foundation's Todd Gaziano joined several experts to discuss "reawakening" the Congressional Review Act. Until this year, the CRA had been used successfully only once — 16 years ago to rollback a regulation from the Clinton Administration.

The panel included Club for Growth President and former U.S. Rep. David McIntosh, The Heritage Foundation's Senior Legal Research Fellow Paul Larkin, and PLF's DC Center Executive Director Todd Gaziano.

During the discussion, they made the case for aggressively using the Congressional Review Act to eliminate some of the worst and most burdensome federal agency rules. Mr. Gaziano also explained an additional way that the Trump Administration can repeal hundreds of unlawful regulations — without direction from Congress. His remarks begin about 19 minutes into the discussion.
